I even block out dinner time on weeknights. Because yes, I like my dinner undisturbed 😄.

Note: When setting availability for specific dates, you’ll need to manually enter each date and time. Currently, there’s no option to add a date range a bit tedious, but manageable for occasional use.

• Set max bookings per day for that type 
• Assign a location, choose from: 
  • Online meeting link

  • Custom physical address 
  • No location 

 

👥 Group Bookings

• Allow multiple attendees to book the same slot (ideal for classes or webinars) 
• Option to enable guest invites, like plus-ones for events

I’ve connected 7 calendars — including 3 Google accounts and my Apple ID. Apple setup took a little extra work, since it requires generating an app-specific password (thanks to Apple’s security). But once done, it synced fine.

You can:

• Choose which calendars to sync for each account 
• Toggle each one on/off for “reading availability.” 
• Designate one calendar as your primary; this is where all new bookings will be added 

⚠️ Note: You can’t move an appointment from one calendar to another once it’s booked. You’d need to cancel and resend the invite.

 

Managing Availability & Blockout Dates

TidyCal smartly reads your connected calendars and automatically blocks time slots that conflict with other events.

You can block availability in two ways:

1. Add “Busy” events to any connected calendar (great for global availability) 
   • Tip: Full-day events don’t block time in TidyCal; you’ll need to use timed entries. 
2. Set unavailability manually for each booking type 
   • Unfortunately, each date-time has to be entered one by one 
   • No bulk date ranges (yet), this can be time-consuming if you’re blocking out holidays or long breaks
